Marie E. Cherisier

Marie’s more than 22 years in the health care industry encompasses her time as a C.N.A. and R.N. She has been an employee of Gordon Healthcare since 1989 and has been a part of the management team since 1992. Marie has an extensive background in acute care settings and is currently also employed as a per diem nurse at Boston Medical Center. She is very involved in the Eden Program and is a certified associate.

Carolyn O'Toole, PPS/MDS Coordinator

Carolyn graduated from Quincy College Practical Nursing Program in 1995 and is currently pursuing her R.N. With Gordon Healthcare since 2002, she has held various nursing positions in the company and is currently the PPS/MDS Coordinator.

Rose West, P.T., Director of Therapy Services

Rose has more than 12 years experience as a skilled physical therapist. She is a 1996 graduated of Northeastern University were she possesses a B.S. degree in Physical Therapy. Rose has worked in a variety of settings, including acute care, sub acute care, outpatient, and skilled nursing, and has been an employee of Gordon Healthcare since 2002.

Linda Forsyth, Managed Care Nurse Manager

Linda has been a nurse since 1987, graduating from the L.P.N. program at Quincy College and then the R.N. program three years later. She has worked in long-term care just about her entire career, joining the Bostonian in 2006. She works in the Prospective Payment System/Minimum Data Set department and is also responsible for updating information for the various insurance companies that contract with the Bostonian. She reports that she enjoys this aspect of her job as it enables her to meet and correspond with people in many different areas of the health care field.

Jacquelyn (Jackie) McDonald, Director of Admissions

Jackie has been with the Gordon Healthcare Management team since 2005. She holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Bridgewater State College. In her position as Admission Director, she shares her knowledge of short- and long-term stays to both elders and family members.

Ann Cassidy, Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Control Nurse

Ann has been with Gordon Healthcare for ten years in various different jobs, including serving as a nurse at the former Neponset Nursing Care Center. Ann’s 30-year health care career has spanned jobs as a C.N.A., L.P.N., and R.N., and she has also earned a B.S.N. degree. Ann formerly taught in a local Nursing Program and directed a large Adult Day Health Program in her hometown of Brockton. She is an Eden Alternative Associate and, as Staff Development Coordinator, she coordinates the ECCLI (Career Ladder) Programs for Bostonian staff. She has worked for many other companies but singles out the Bostonian for its sense of teamwork and its diversity.

Pam Hooper, Director of Recreational Services

Pam’s journey in long-term care began more than 25 years ago. Over time, she has worked in many areas, including Dietary, Housekeeping, Recreation, and Hairdressing. Originally trained as a hairdresser, after 11 years in the salon at the Bostonian she hung up her scissors to take over the recreation position she now holds.

Rebecca (Becky) Goode, Director of Social Services

Becky, a MA licensed social worker, has been the long-term care social worker at the Bostonian since 2003. She earned a B.S. degree in Social Work at Wheelock College and has previously worked as a preschool teacher at the Striar Jewish Community Center in Stoughton. Becky enjoys connecting with elders one- on-one and learning about their history. She has successfully developed a rapport with the Bostonian’s families and shares her vast knowledge of elder services available both here and in the community. Becky is a certified Eden Associate and a co-chairperson of the Bostonian Eden Discussion Group.

Christina Lemmo, Social Worker, Pope's Hill Unit

Christina brings more than 14 years’ experience in nursing home social work to the position at the Bostonian she began in 2007. She holds an M.S.W. from Boston University and a B.S. degree from Lesley University.

Winsome Maitland, Weekend Nurse Supervisor

Winsome always wanted to be a nurse, tending to her dolls as a young girl. She has worked in health care for more than 20 years, first as a C.N.A. and more recently as the recipient of an Associate’s Degree in Registered Nursing from Roxbury Community College. She has been with the Bostonian for seven years, serving as a staff nurse, charge nurse, and weekend supervisor for the past four years. She is an Eden associate and has taught some C.N.A. courses.

Rebecca Alves, R.D., Dietitian

Rebecca’s high school stint as a dietary aide at her local hospital first made her aware that proper diet and nutrition could have a positive impact on a patient’s overall health and recovery. She then pursued a degree in Dietetics from the University of Rhode Island and completed a Dietetic Internship at the former St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, MA. Her first job as a Registered Dietitian was at a long-term care and rehab center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She found her niche in the area of geriatric nutrition, and since then has worked for several long-term care and rehabilitation centers throughout Texas and Massachusetts.

Joseph Marcotrigiano, Director of Food Services

Joe’s path in health care began in 1983 when a summer job as a dietary aide turned into a career. He has worked as a chef in a five-star hotel, a line cook at T.G.I.Friday’s, and even as a production chef at Lasallette Shrine during the holiday season. He is a Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Safety Manager, and Eden certified associate job mentor and coach. He remembers the job satisfaction he felt as a 16 year old helping an 80-year old elder with her dinner meal and the smile she gave him. He was hooked.

Richard Connell, Director of Maintenance

Dick has been a proud member of the Dorchester Community for the past 50 years. Dick is a licensed plumber by trade, and has owned and operated his own plumbing company, as well as working in hospitals such as St. Elizabeth’s, Quincy, St. Marks, Carney, and St. Margaret’s as the assistant director of plant operations. Dick has been the director of Maintenance at the Bostonian for the past 7 years. Dick is the Bostonian Safety officer successfully leading the Bostonian to multiple deficiency free life safety surveys. Dick is an active member of the popes hill association.

Cristiano de Aandrade, Director of Housekeeping and Laundry Services

In 1989, Cristiano was hired by the Bostonian for a position he still fills. He is proud that his staff includes one employee with 31 years of service, two employees with more than twenty years of service, two employees with 15+ years, and one employee with 17 years of perfect attendance.
